Nominees for the british independent movie awards

Latest English movie news features the list of nominees for the British Independent Movie Awards that was published just now. There are little surprises in it being led by the provocative film ‘Shame’ by Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan. The movie was awarded a NC-17 rating because of the vivid sex scenes it contains but this has not prevented the critics from outlining it as one of the best films for this year, according to the English movie news.
The other movies with nominations in a variety of categories and, hence, favorites for this years’ awards, are ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’ and ‘Tyrannosaur’. The three above-mentioned films have a total of 7 nominations altogether but English movie news makes a point in paying enough attention to some other films that might turn out to be a surprise when the time for awards comes: ‘Senna’ and ‘We Need to Talk About Kevin’. The competition for best actor is between Brendan Gleeson, Neil Maskell, Michael Fassbender, Gary Oldman and Peter Mullan, while the best actress is to be decided among Rebecca Hall, Mia Wasikowska, MyAnna Buring, Olivia Colman and Tilda Swinton. The awards will make it to the fron of the English movie news on the 4thDecember.
