An essential element of language learning is culture. While viewing a film, especially classics, in British, American or West Indian English you can see cultural aspects included in the plot to illustrate social customs which you can incorporate in your teaching.

A New Movie by Lars Von Trier

Lars von Trier seems unable to escape the movie news with any of his new films. Usually, he’s known for his provocative stories shot in a shocking way that boarders with explicit sadism. This time, however, the latest movie news is not that shocking – his latest movie, ‘Melancholy’ actually seems nice to women – something we didn’t think the Danish director was capable of.
It tells the story of a woman who has just got married who anticipates the collision of a planet a lot bigger than the Earth with our own and that breaks her world apart. Given the fact that the sadistic scenes are limited, it’s no wonder that movie news predict great interest in that film by both critics and audience. However, Lars von Trier couldn’t stay away of trouble even if he wanted to, as movie news reveal that the Norwegian extremist, responsible for the events in Oslo in July has outlined ‘Dogville’ as his favorite movie. While von Tries has basically no fault for that, he made it to the news once again and this will inevitably raise the interest in his movies again. This comes to confirm the saying that there’s no such thing as bad publicity.

Nominees for the british independent movie awards

Latest English movie news features the list of nominees for the British Independent Movie Awards that was published just now. There are little surprises in it being led by the provocative film ‘Shame’ by Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan. The movie was awarded a NC-17 rating because of the vivid sex scenes it contains but this has not prevented the critics from outlining it as one of the best films for this year, according to the English movie news.
The other movies with nominations in a variety of categories and, hence, favorites for this years’ awards, are ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’ and ‘Tyrannosaur’. The three above-mentioned films have a total of 7 nominations altogether but English movie news makes a point in paying enough attention to some other films that might turn out to be a surprise when the time for awards comes: ‘Senna’ and ‘We Need to Talk About Kevin’. The competition for best actor is between Brendan Gleeson, Neil Maskell, Michael Fassbender, Gary Oldman and Peter Mullan, while the best actress is to be decided among Rebecca Hall, Mia Wasikowska, MyAnna Buring, Olivia Colman and Tilda Swinton. The awards will make it to the fron of the English movie news on the 4thDecember.

The Long-awaited Appearance of the Immortals

Movie images from the new film ‘Immortals’ could be seen on each and every website that has to do with cinema these days. This epic movie combines a thrilling story with even more thrilling effects that movie-making nowadays has to offer in plenty. Its premiere is due on 11thNovember and it’s predicted that the movie is going to be a major success, given the names of the cast and crew and the brilliant effects one could see on movie images that deal with the film.
Luke Evans, Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke, Isabel Lucas, Freida Pinto and the others of the numerous cast will tell the story of Theseus. This popular part of the Greek mythology is about a mortal human being who was chosen by Zeus to try and defeat King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke has proven to be an excellent villain in most of his recent movies) in a breath taking battle, scenes of which are now available as movie images online. In these movie images one can also see the fantastic world created by the producers of ’300′ and the director Tarsem Singh, who’s associated with the untitled Snow White movie featuring Julia Roberts and due to be released next year.

We Seriously Need to Talk About Kevin

Yes, that’s right. We seriously need to talk about Kevin as the movie in question seems to be a real hit with both critics and audience. English movie photos circulating in the Internet keep pointing it out as a must-see movie and we tend to agree about that, especially given the fact that it’s one of the favorites of the critics if we are to trust the nominations for British independent movies that were just revealed. The movie tells the story of a boy who took part in a killing spree at school and his mother who feels responsible for him growing up and for his decisions and actions. The English movie photos that show Ezra Miller as the angry teenager and Tilda Swinton as his mother who faces lots of questions with no easy answer are a great way of promoting the movie because they do their job in portraying a vast array of feelings in the characters. The premiere is on 27th January next year but even months before that the expectations are already high enough and the audience is alarmed that it’s a movie not to be missed – at least as judged by the critics’ opinions, the trailers and the English movie photos available online.

Getting personal with rajinikanth

Known earlier as Sivaji Rao, Rajinikanth was born in a not well to do home located in Karnataka, India. Before coming into the limelight of the entertainment industry, Rajinkanth served as a public transport conductor. His star shone when he got discovered by film director K. Balachander, who introduced him to the Tamil film industry. Balachander was able to see deep into Rajinikanth, and came to the realization that his style and talent would do India’s entertainment industry a lot of good. If today, the whole of India adores Rajinikanth, it becomes conspicuously true that Director Balachander should also have some credit to that effect. From a humble home, Rajinikanth does well never to forget his beginning. Whenever he has some time to spare, he does well to hang around with his compatriots. By means of this meek act, he is able to reach the hearts of all his fans. He has a unique style of cigarette tossing, which has fortunately earned him a lot of roles in movies. He really gets his fans yearning for more of his acting, and so they do not mind to pay double the due amount just to see his movie as soon as possible. Beyond people who understand Rajinikanth’s language, there are numerous people belonging to other languages who greatly admire him for his unique style. A very good attitude he adopts in life is that he always does well to be as simple as possible, as well as give all people the due respect. He never forgets Balachander, as well as his friends, no matter how high he gets elevated in life. His latest movie is doing fantastic on the world market; it has even been declared the highest grosser of the month. He is never moved when huge profit is made; neither is he moved when losses are incurred in production. After venturing into commercial movie production, Rajinikanth was blessed with an increase in fan base and finally rose from being the Southern Superstar to the Indian Superhero. At 65, he is still making it big, and has his all time movie collection to be a mix of action, sentiment and great comedy.

Could Rana Really Be Sultan the Warrior?

Rajinikanths’s movie, Rana, has of late been involved in mass confusion as to whether it comes in as a rechristened talkie version of Sultan The Warrior, or not. This is in sharp contrast to the joy and harmony that accompanied Rajinikanth’s prior announcement of the movie. Indeed, his fans never expected such confusion to sweep across the country. It is good to know that the confusion has now ceased. Fans can now be at peace with respect to the declaration by Ocher studios and Eros International. The two bodies have strongly denied connections with SultanTthe Warrior. Beyond the declaration made by these bodies, there is further evidence to the same effect. Weeks earlier, Randy, the popular cinematographer of Endiran had already posted information about the new film on his Facebook page. His elation was in the fact that he was going to be involved with the production of Rajinikanth’s next film. There is speculation that the movie will be directed by K S Ravikumar and will feature Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone as the heroine of the movie. Could this be true? Well, no one should hurriedly believe this, because, we are aware of what Rajinikanth can do with his movies. We might be kept in suspence trying to figure out things like who the director is; who the heroine is; who plays the baddie; how much Rajinikanth is paid, and how much budget went into production. We may not exactly know all these until the film is finally released. The most important thing all will want to know is who gets to play the baddie in Rajinikanth’s films. Recounting, we will remember Sathayaraj’s role in MR. Bharath; Raghuvaran’s role in Baadshah; Suman in Sivaji, and others. In this wise, the villain is required to equal the magnificence and majestic qualities of Thalaiver Superstar Rajinikanth. The villain is required to challenge the caliber of Rajinikanth and should be powerful enough to make the audience boo him off. For the latest movie, Rana, the villain is Sonu Sood. This actor is well known in the Kollywood and Tollywood industries, and is appreciated for his power packed performances in Chandramukhi and Arundhathi.

Do Indian Youth Need Quips?

With the current state of affairs, it is more apt to say the Indian youth and the national scenario are two sides of the same coin. Frankly, they really go hand in hand. For years, the norm has been to sing songs and organize choirs to celebrate the greatness, prosperity, and potentials of India. Of course, it is the youth that shape the present and the future of the country’s fate. Of late, India has had to suffer a lot of slurry and corrupt practices. Now, the general public is very volatile to change in the affairs of the country, making those things directly dominating and inspiring the sensibilities of the entire nation. As youth, we may have our priorities pretty messed up, but when it comes to patriotism the story is different and positive. Issues of patriotism are very dear to the Indian youth, amidst kindling those emotions which allays fears and brighten hopes. Some time ago in the past, Indians were acknowledged as great engineers, and what can we now say of India with respect to engineering ingenuity? Fortunately, that era seems to set it self again at the brink of this decade. In fact, the issue of lifestyle is also worth touching; Indians have been lavish in the past, with respect to lifestyle, and choose to remain so. Some of the Indian super stars have been an example of how Indian’s love fan Following. Some examples are Sharukh khan and Rajinikanth. According to studies and reports, it’s been ascertained that the Indian’s stimulus of creativity, inspiration and pre-meditated action of life is provided or fueled by the daily dose of entertainment and leisure. India’s youth seem to have their thoughts motivated and molded by the ongoing hungama and hullaballoo around the scams, affairs and fresh scandals by the media. Frankly, quips are what are needed for quintessential boost to the Great Indian Dream. Remember, quips were the forte of the Great Chanaka

Jessica Simpson: I’m Gonna Be a Mummy

Hollywood news just won’t stop repeating what everyone seemed to already know. Jessica Simpson is pregnant and while she chose to keep the secret till Halloween, we were all pretty suspicious because of the changes her body has undergone recently. Even though there were rumors of her being a mom-to-be, Hollywood news were silent on that matter until earlier today. There are still some questions about Ms. Simpson’s pregnancy as the date on which the baby is due or of what sex it is going to be but Jessica and her fiancĂ© Eric Johnson obviously won’t shed more light on these matters for now.
Jessica Simpson decided to share the not-oh-so-surprising Hollywood news with her fans on Tweeter, posting a tweet saying: ‘Announcement! It’s true – I’m going to be a mummy!’. And to be even more convincing, she has posted on her official website a picture of her, wrapped in bandages and looking like a future mommy mummy with her already pretty rounded belly she’s gently supporting with her hands. So yet again Hollywood gossip turned into real Hollywood news – the 31-year old actress and singer is going to have her first child.

A real look at Chennai the auto hub of India

In attempt to boost tourism, I think we, as the indigenes of the various towns and cities of interest, have a great role to play. We need to be worthy ambassadors of our various towns and cities, in order to sell out to foreigners the good our towns and cities have to offer as tourist centers. In view of this, my quota is contributed through this write-up for my city Chennai. Chennai, also known as Madras or Madrasapatinam, happens to be the proud capital city of Tamil Nadu. It is the fifth most populous city in India. There is some history behind the name Chennai. It is actually the crisp form of the town Chennaipattinam, and the origin of the nomenclature of Chennai is subject to two schools of thought. The first has it that, the English, in 1939, acquired the town Chennaipattinam which was named after Damaria Chennappa Nayakudu. The second has it that the word chenni means face, and Chennaipattinam was named after the Chenna Kesava Perumal Temple, regarded as the face of the city. Chennai is known for its sandy beaches, historic monuments, splendiferous sculptures and bustling parks. In the days of old, the city used to be ruled by the renowned south Indian dynasties, namely the Pallava, Chera, Chola, Pandya and Vijaynagara. Chennai is deeply in love with music, arts and culture. It is renowned for its classical dance and exuberant temples. The native language spoken is Tamil. As a die-hard cricket loving city, Chennai hosts the M A Chidambaram stadium, which is a renowned cricket stadium. Chennai has twice been the champions of the Indian Premier League. The people of Chennai are well noted for their immense passion for Tamil movies. They have a high display of affection for their supersonic icons like Rajinikanth, Mani, Ratman, S Shankar, Kaamal Hassan, to mention but a few. The most important festival that can be found at Chennai is Pongal; this festival is, indeed, celebrated on a large scale. The sumptuous mouth-watering delicacies you are going to set eye on are Pongal, Dosa, Idli and Vadal, served with steaming hot Filter Coffee.

The ragtag offers plenty of laughs along the way with their criminal inexperience Josh is in need of expert advice in order to pull off the heist and therefore turn to petty criminal known as Slide. It takes us up o the first half of the movie for Slide to be introduced. As the movie progresses on is get entertained by the cheeky behaviors of the actors.
